Project Portal Hawaii

Overview

Project Portal Hawaii is a web application that allows students to find interesting projects that they can work on to improve their skills and build their professional portfolio. Professors and members of the community can also propose projects for students at the Univeristy of Hawaii. The application is still being worked on and improved, so not all of the planned funcitonality has been implemented. Here’s an overview of our goal:

The problem: For students at UH Manoa, it can be difficult to find interesting projects that will improve the quality of their professional portfolios, or generally improve their skills related to their field of study.
The solution: A web application that enables professors or fellow students to post project ideas, and allows students to find the ideal project for gaining experience or earning credit for their classes.
